A nickname is an easy, one-word way to remember an email address, such as "fred", "dad", or "scuba-list". Each address book entry requires a nickname, and each one must be unique from the others. Nicknames may contain only numbers, letters, periods ( . ), hyphens ( - ) and underscores ( _ ).
To add someone to the address list, there are two methods. If you have a piece of mail from that person:
Open the piece of mail.
Use the Save Address button, which will take you to a form where you can fill out any additional information you wish
Select the Add Person button at the bottom of the page to complete the addition.
You can also reach this form directly by clicking on the Addresses link on the navigation bar and selecting the Add Person button. Each address book entry requires a nickname and an email address. The other fields are optional and provided purely for your convenience.
