How do I read a message?

1. Select your Inbox by clicking on it in the toolbar on the left. You will be presented with a list of the messages waiting for you.
2. Click on the subject of the message to view it.

Why do some messages have an envelope next to them?

An envelope icon next to a message in the Inbox indicates that this is a new message that you have not viewed yet. Click on the envelope or the subject of the message to view it.

What is my "Outbox" for?

The Outbox keeps copies of all of the messages you have sent out in the past, in case you need to refer back to them. If you wish, you can delete messages from this box like any other, by selecting them with the checkbox and using the Move to Folder... trash button near the bottom of the page.

What is the "Report Junk Mail" button for?

If you receive Unsolicited Commercial Email (junk mail advertisements, sometimes called "spam" in your mailbox, you can use this button to alert us so that we can take action to help stop this kind of behavior.

What is the "show as text" button for?

Some newer email programs send email which has HTML formatting tags to display fonts, pictures, and links, just like a web page. If you wish to see the HTML source code, or wish to see the message in its raw form exactly as it was sent, you can use this button.
