Why did I get a message that says 'Message Contents Not Found'?

Under certain circumstances, you may see a Message Contents Not Found or a WM0006 error. These can occur when a desktop e-mail program (such as Eudora, Outlook, or Navigator/Communicator) downloads a message while you're trying to access it with Web Mail. To avoid this situation, log out of your desktop e-mail program before using Web Mail. Messages that you've read (but not deleted) via Web Mail will be downloaded by your desktop e-mail program when you re-start it. These messages will appear in your desktop program's inbox marked as "already read."

Why did I get a message that says 'Data Missing'?

Much of the time your browser's Back and Forward buttons will work as you'd normally expect. However, you may sometimes see a Data Missing message. In order for Web Mail to show your incoming e-mail as soon as it arrives, certain pages expire from your browser's cache right away. The best way to avoid the Data Missing message is to always use Web Mail's tabs for navigation.

Who is MAILER-DAEMON, and why are they sending me messages?!

The first thing to know is that Mailer-Daemon is not a person. The Mailer-Daemon is the program which attempts to deliver your email messages. You usually don't hear from the Mailer-Daemon unless it had a problem delivering your messages. The most common message you'll get from Mailer-Daemon is a 'bounce' message. If you send a message that couldn't be delivered, the Mailer-Daemon will bounce your message back to you, with a sometimes cryptic explanation of what happened. Usually you will see a line at the top of the bounced message that says "User unknown", or "Invalid Host". If you get a bounce like this, you probably made a typing mistake when addressing the email, or the email address that you have is incorrect.

Why do I get a message which reads, "Your user agent is not compatible" when I try to log into Web Mail?

You are using a rather old web browser and need to upgrade before you can use Web Mail.
