- The required equipment for a single-user DSL connection is: Network Interface Card (NIC), DSL modem, splitter, and inside wire. The cost for the DSL modem is $198 while the NIC, splitter, and inside wire are included at no extra charge*2. With the addition of a router or hub customers can connect multiple computers together to share DSL service in a LAN.
